サイズSizing guide

Find your perfect fit.

A great fit is what makes press-ons look like a salon set. Pick your shape, find your size, and you're done in about two minutes.

1. Choose your shape

Almond

Slim sides that taper to a soft, rounded point, like an almond. Lengthens the fingers; the most popular press-on shape.

Coffin

Tapered sides with a straight, flat tip. Also called ballerina. Bold and modern; best at medium to long lengths.

Oval

Straight sides with an evenly rounded tip. Soft, natural, and the most forgiving for everyday wear.

Square

Straight sides with a flat tip and crisp corners. Clean and classic; sturdy at short lengths.

2. Find your size

Both hands are usually the same size. If not, note it in your order and Emi will match each hand.

With a tape measure

Lay a soft tape measure across the widest part of each nail and note the width in millimeters.

With clear tape

Press clear tape over the nail, mark both edges with a pen, then stick the tape on a ruler to read the width.

Not sure? Start with a sizing kit.

Try on real tips in the same shape you'll order (almond, coffin, oval, or square). $12, credited to your first set.

3. Apply & remove

Step by step

Apply, in about 15 minutes

  1. Push back cuticles, lightly buff the shine off your natural nails, and wipe them with the prep pad.
  2. Lay out the press-ons and match one to each finger. Between sizes? Choose the larger and file the sides.
  3. Glue: a thin layer on your nail and on the press-on. Press down at an angle from the cuticle and hold for 30 seconds.
  4. Tabs: stick a tab to your nail, peel the film, and press on. Best for a day or a weekend.
  5. Skip hot water and lotion for the first hour.

Remove, gently

  1. Soak fingertips in warm, soapy water with a little cuticle oil for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Lift slowly from the side with the cuticle stick. Never pry or pull.
  3. Buff off leftover glue and store the set in its case to wear again.

Shape & sizing questions

What are the main press-on nail shapes?

The four most common are almond, coffin (also called ballerina), oval, and square. Nico paints every design on any of these four.

What's the difference between almond and oval nails?

Both have rounded tips. Oval keeps straight sides with an evenly rounded end; almond tapers the sides toward a softer point, which makes fingers look longer.

What's the difference between coffin and square nails?

Both have flat tips. Square keeps the sides straight, while coffin (ballerina) tapers the sides inward toward a narrower flat tip.

How do I measure my nails for press-ons?

Measure the widest part of each natural nail in millimeters, using a soft tape measure or clear tape marked with a pen and laid on a ruler. Then match each width to the size chart.
